"Activism" is one of the words conservatives often view with suspicion. When we think of "liberal activist" or "judicial activist" we often envision a sort of Hippie counter culture, condemning traditional American values or challenging the status quo simply for the sake of garnering power.
The root of "activist" is, of course, action. Now, more than ever is the time for conservatives to embrace our own form of action. The conservative movement needs you.
Conservative activists force conservative, and even moderate, leaders to take notice of whatâs really on our mind. From writing letters to office holders to organizing rallies and attending town meetings, what the conservative movement needs right now is action-oriented peopleâ¦activists. One of the reasons liberals dominate media coverage of political issues is that wherever reporters go, liberals are there, holding signs, press conferences, cheering or booing in audiences, as the circumstances dictate. Liberal candidates can count on a well-funded, national network of liberals to be their eyes, ears, hands, and feet in every race in the country. They simply cannot be ignored, and now, neither will we.
CCM will bring the enormous power of the natural conservative majority in the United States to bear on our national leaders as they shape our policies. Politicians on the left and right will no more be able to ignore conservatives: CCM is going to make conservatives like you heard and seen again in the American debate.
